The Norrøna lofoten dri1 PrimaLoft170 short Gloves are designed for a variety of winter activities, with the most frequent mention being **skiing (alpine, backcountry, and cross-country).** Users praise their warmth, even in temperatures as low as -20°C, though some found them insufficient in extreme cold (-25°C or lower) or windy conditions. The gloves are lauded for their dexterity, allowing for tasks like operating cameras, adjusting bindings, and even dialing garage door codes. They are also praised for their lightweight, comfortable fit, and packability. The short cuff design is appreciated for its compatibility with jacket sleeves. Several reviewers highlighted the gloves' waterproofness, keeping hands dry in snow and wet conditions.\n\n**Fit:** Sizing seems to run large, with several reviewers recommending sizing down, especially for women. One reviewer specifically noted the gloves are not well-suited for smaller hands, even in the smallest size.\n\n**Criticisms:** The most common complaint is the thin wrist tether, which some found difficult to use and prone to breaking. A few reviewers found the gloves not as warm as expected for the price, particularly in very cold conditions.\n\n**Overall:** The lofoten dri1 PrimaLoft170 short Gloves are recommended for those seeking a warm, dexterous, and waterproof glove primarily for skiing and other winter sports. They are particularly well-suited for individuals who prioritize dexterity and a lightweight, packable design. However, those with very small hands or anticipating use in extremely cold weather may want to consider other options or layering with liner gloves. Potential buyers should also be aware of the criticisms regarding the wrist tether.\n

Difficult to give a review a) Lofoten Pro Jacket is state of the Art b) while the Lofoten gloves are nowhere near close to the level of the jacket Not saying they are bad, because they aren’t but - not living up to the Lofoten standard - quite light for skiing/touring gloves - when moving I never had cold fingers but very much did when standing/waiting. Would I buy it again, difficult as I come from the experience with Hestra and their standard is very high.
