Updated 13 March 2025The Lofoten Gore-Tex Pro Pants are highly recommended for **freeriding and ski touring**, as highlighted by numerous reviews. They offer a robust, waterproof, and windproof construction thanks to 3L Gore-Tex Pro fabric, ensuring dryness even in challenging conditions. Reviewers praise the durable face fabric, reinforced areas, and full-length side zips for excellent ventilation and easy access to boots or knee braces. The spacious pockets are appreciated, especially the large thigh pockets. The fit is generally described as relaxed or slightly oversized, accommodating layering and offering excellent freedom of movement. Many reviewers appreciate the longer length, though some shorter individuals find them too long. The adjustable waistband with velcro allows for a customized fit, but some find the waist buttons inadequate.\n\nWhile the pants are praised for their quality and features, some criticisms include the rustling fabric, the separate bib (though compatible with a zip-in option), and occasional durability issues with seams and zippers. The hip pockets are also considered by some to be too small or awkwardly placed.\n\n**Recommended for:** Skiers and snowboarders, particularly those focused on freeriding and ski touring, who prioritize durability, weather protection, and freedom of movement. Those with longer legs will especially appreciate the fit. Consider sizing down if between sizes, and be aware of the separate bib.\n
Great materials, but too large fit

I bought them a month ago and have had insisted Norrøna pants before. Generally happy with the pants and the materials. However I have a few points of feedback:
1.These pants were slightly larger than my previous so I am stepping on them when I walk even though they have a great fit by the waist.
2. Also the zipper for the add-on bib is very small and hard to close
3. There are buttons on the hip for fastening a jacket, but they are also placed exactly at the height where I carry my backpack during Ski Touring so they get stuck in my backpack’s belt and are uncomfortable

Trousers that just works

The trousers were amazing, it's rugged, very waterproof and wide enough for snowboard. Something that I can just wear and not worry about. There is plenty of room inside the trousers even with my big thighs, though the trousers are quite long so it would fit best if the wearer have longer limbs.

Went freeriding and the pants are robuust and keep you dry. Fit is quite loose, i need to use an extra belt. Integrated bib would be nice.
