The Lyngen Down750 Mittens are lightweight, warm down mittens primarily designed for low-activity cold weather use, such as skiing (especially downhill and backcountry) and general cold-weather outings. Users praise their warmth and packability, making them ideal for throwing in a backpack for extra warmth on the lift or during breaks. The silky inner lining and leather palm offer comfort, while sewn-in loops provide a convenient attachment point.\n\nFit seems to run large, with many reviewers recommending sizing down. While the down filling provides excellent warmth, some find the thin outer fabric susceptible to damage and moisture penetration in wet snow. The palm area also receives criticism for feeling thin and cold against the skin, with some suggesting a wool liner would improve comfort. Durability is also a concern, with some reports of the Norrøna logo detaching easily and down leaking through the seams.\n\n**Recommended for:** Individuals seeking lightweight, packable warmth for low-activity cold weather pursuits like skiing, especially downhill and backcountry, or general cold-weather outings where dexterity isn't paramount. **Not recommended for:** High-intensity activities or situations requiring significant dexterity due to the bulky nature and potential for overheating/moisture buildup. Consider sizing down for a better fit. Be prepared to potentially layer with liners for added warmth and palm protection.\n

Got them about a month ago and used them for skiing in the Swedish mountains. They have been my first choice when temperature drops to double negative figures celsius, and they have worked well in a range from -5 to -20. The latter with a merino liner underneath. Super comfortable and very light. Because of the light weight, it would have been good if they came with handcuffs (is that the word?) as the will disappear in the wind if you don't hold on to them. But I complemented them with a pair from Hestra and problem solved. They are surprisingly durable (the fabric feel very thin), but even after carrying skis, grabbing lift handles, etc, I can see no wear on them. Highly recommended.

Mittens bought in December 22. Had expected more quality. Trey came at a very price (N.kr. 1.500) Down keeps coming out of the seams and the fabric is very weak.

You get what you pay for. General advice: Buy them a couple of sizes larger than your size, to have room for thinner gloves under in case you need to take the mittens off to fiddle with things.
