Our owners, like today’s Jørgen Jørgensen, have always been avid outdoor-enthusiasts themselves, with a personal involvement in our products. Jørgen tests most of the products that Norrøna offers. He wants everyone to benefit from the strict quality standards he sets.

The third generation owner, Ole Jørgen Jørgensen, was one of the first to sponsor Norwegian climbing expeditions and was pioneering extreme user product development in the early 70s. Since then, we have always tested our product’s in the toughest environments – to make the best functionality and durability.

We choose to maintain a team of over 60 professional athlete ambassadors who provide us with continuous, honest, and rigorous feedback on all our products.

A family-owned company gives us flexibility to pursue innovations driven by passion, not profit.
