Yes. Use a gentle 40 °C cycle with a detergent specifically designed for down. Most importantly, tumble dry the item with 2–3 clean tennis balls to fluff the down and prevent clumping. For more details, please refer to our Product Care Guide here.

If water no longer beads on your product, you may need to reapply a spray-on Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment, such as the Water Repellent Tech Spray, and dry it again.

Before applying DWR treatment:

1. Make sure the garment is clean and dry. Washing instructions can be found on our Product Care Guide.
2. Shake the bottle well and spray evenly across the fabric.
3. Let the waterproofing soak in for 15–20 minutes.
4. Wipe off any excess spray with a damp cloth.
5. Finish drying using a warm iron, warm air, sunlight, or similar.
   Always follow the fabric’s washing instructions.

Tips for Water Repellent Tech Spray reuse:

Empty, clean, and close the spray nozzle if you plan to use the bottle again.
If the spray is applied unevenly, the garment may become slightly discolored—this can be easily removed by washing.

The key to a long-lasting waterproof shell is regular washing. Body oils, sweat, and dirt can damage the adhesives and membrane if left too long. By washing your shell with a technical detergent and then heat-treating it in the dryer (on a low setting), you help keep the layers bonded and the breathable pores clear, which can significantly extend the life of your shell. We do our best to repair older products, but spare parts may be limited, and some damage may be too severe for a proper repair. If we can repair your item, replacement parts may not be an exact match. You can email photos to support@norrona.no to check if a repair is possible before sending it in.
