Where did you grow up?
I grew up in the Mount Washington Valley, White Mountains NH, USA
Where do you currently call home?
After a stint in San Diego, California, and Baja Mexico, I now call Jackson New Hampshire USA home. It feels great to be back in my home mountains.
Main activities?
Backcountry skiing and trail running.
What year did you join the Norrøna family?
2021.
What current items on norrona.com are some of your go-to favorites?
I have been living in my lyngen 850down Knickers and the lyngen Powerstretch Hoodie since I got them. These two pieces are critical to adjusting to the variable weather we have here in the northeast.
What do you actively do to cut back on your carbon footprint?
I joined Protect Our Winters in 2019 and have been actively lobbying for clean energy bills. We aren't perfect but there's a lot we can change to make a difference both systematically with our government and as individuals.
Career highlights/accomplishments?
Spending winters showcasing the mountains through photography and video has helped me share the beauty of remote areas of designated wilderness in hopes of inspiring others to protect these areas. Over the last several winters and summers I have showcased these regions through big mountain projects including a six-day FKT linking all 48 4,000' peaks on foot and skiing all the prominent lines in the White Mountains.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
White Mountains, NH but the Alps are a close second.
What advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Try more endurance sports, wish I had discovered them sooner!
What is your hidden talent(s)?
I'm a coffee roaster.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
Have the ability to control the weather - would make for epic ski and surf trips!
