Darcy Conover is a mountaineer and skier who has traded the fast-paced energy of New York for the high-altitude serenity of the Rocky Mountains.
Now a staple of the Aspen community, Darcy’s life is defined by a deep connection to the outdoors, whether she is tagging 14,000-foot summits or navigating technical couloirs. Since joining the Norrøna family in 2022, she has become a key advocate for high-performance gear that stands up to the demands of a professional mountain life.

I love the tamok collection for the resort. I wear the Gore-Tex thermo80 Jacket with the Gore-Tex thermo60 pants. I stay warm all day while riding the lifts and keep everything I need in all the pockets. I've been winter running in the trollveggen warmwool2 stretch tights and I can't believe how warm they are and how well they stray up.
What do you actively do to cut back on your carbon footprint?
One thing I do is ride my ebike as much as possible. It has studded tires, a ski rack and a seat for two kids so I can ride it all winter too!
Where is your favorite place in the world?
The mountains around Aspen, CO. I keep trying to leave, but I just can't!
What advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Live for the experience, not the material things. Materials will come along but seek first enjoyment of life. This means you must identify what makes you happy. Material things only create temporary happiness if any at all.
What hobbies do you enjoy participating in?
Skiing, running, nordic skiing, yoga, cycling, hiking, making crafts with my 7 yr old daughter, reading
What is/are your hidden talent(s)?
Helping people feel comfortable in uncomfortable situations.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
