Erik Botner has traded the city for the wild coast of the Lofoten Islands, where he lives a life defined by the tides and the snowpack.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up on the east side of Oslo in a place called Oppsal. It's a concrete jungle. When you grow up there it's nothing that suggests that you should become a snowboarder/surfer. But spend a lot of time in the resorts around Oslo. Like tryvann and Varingskollen. And every weekend my family would go to trysil where we have a cabin. When I got older I started to travel a lot and figured out that I love the mountains and the sea.
Activity
Snowboarder/surfer
What year did you join the Norrøna family?
2021. But I have been using Norrøna clothes for a while and it's been the best quality clothes that I ever had. They seriously last forever.
What do you actively do to cut back on your carbon footprint?
I'm trying to not buy a lot of things/clothes. And if I buy things, I'm trying to buy quality products so it lasts a long time.

What is/are your hidden talent(s)?
I'm a really good boyfriend ;)
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could clip and change location. That would be amazing. So I could change location from good waves to good snow in a second.
