Kathi Kuypers is a professional German mountain biker, content creator, and pioneer in the world of women’s freeride and slopestyle. Known by the nickname "Senderella," she has spent over 14 years in the industry, evolving from cross-country marathons to becoming a trailblazer for women in high-stakes gravity disciplines.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Bruckmühl, a small village in the Bavarian Alps, first on a farm, then my parents bought their own house and me and my brothers had everything we needed.
Where do you currently call home?
I only made it 20km away from home :-) haha the town is called Rosenheim (even closer to the mountains)
Activity
I am a professionally Mountainbike girl, love skiing, I used to be a skiing instructor, too. For fitness I do CrossFit for 6 years now and loads of hiking, skiitouring and XC Skiing.
What year did you join the Norrøna family?
I joined on the 1st of January 2022
What current items on norrona.com are some of your go-to favorites?
I only got some products yet but I enjoy wearing the Norrøna Fjora Flex1 pants for riding. It fits well with kneepads and gives me enough stretch to move well.
What do you actively do to cut back on your carbon footprint?
One of my best friends is owner of a ‚unpacked store‘ There you can only buy unpacked food and stuff you need for the daily life. Since her, I try to reduce my plastic and recycle more.

Remain stubborn and fight for your thing
What hobbies do you enjoy participating in?
Other than sports I like writing stories and cooking
What is/are your hidden talent(s)?
I have the craziest ideas haha
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
My superpower would be flying. Flying makes you independent, no more cars and airplanes needed.
