Mons Røisland is a world-class professional snowboarder from Norway, recognized as one of the most consistent and versatile freestyle riders on the global circuit. Based in Høvik, just outside of Oslo, he has built a reputation for his effortless style and ability to perform under extreme pressure.
Where did you grow up?
Grew up in a place called Høvik, 10 minutes outside of Oslo, Norway.
Where do you currently call home?
Oslo, moved into the city about 7 years ago.

What current items on norrona.com are some of your go-to favorites?
I just got back from my first trip using Norrøna products, and it was -20 out, so I took good use of the Lofoten Thermo80 Jacket. It's very warm, but also light and very easy to move in. Also the thermal pro fleece vest is a big go-to favorite of mine - use it almost every day.
What do you actively do to cut back on your carbon footprint?
I don't eat meat, and I haven't in about 4 years now. (Pescatarian, so I still eat seafood). Consumption in general has also become a focus of mine over the years. Buying products of quality that will last a while and making sure you recycle and reuse what you can.
Career highlights/accomplishments?
The Olympic Silver medal from Beijing 2022 is a career highlight for sure, and also winning the overall world cup title that same year was pretty cool!
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Favorite place in the world... That's hard. But I think I would go for Whistler. The mountain is insane, endless terrain, snows a ton, great vibe, and very good food.
What advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Have fun, use sunscreen and pet as many animals as you can.
What hobbies do you enjoy participating in?
My hobbies usually appear in the summertime, and it's mostly surfing, golfing, downhill biking, and camping.
What is/are your hidden talent(s)?
I would say a very simple sleight of hand trick or two. The classic disappearing coin appearing behind your ear and all that.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleportation. Too practical not to. Go to the other side of the world in a second, or get out of a bad situation by snapping your fingers...sign me up.
