Sigurd Felde is a highly accomplished Norwegian alpinist and mountain guide. He's recognized for some of the most technical and demanding ascents in modern climbing.

How would you describe the nature of the place where you grew up?
Wild. With big mountains and glaciers surrounded with breathtaking fiord landscape.

What is your first memory of nature?
As a six year old kid spending my first night out acccompanied with my dog, all alone on a mountain back home. A big adventure for a small kid.

How would you describe the nature of Norway?
Pristine, and that's why it's so important to take care of this majestic nature.

What activities did you enjoy during your childhood?
Skiing become early a main activity in my childhood winter, and during summer I loved to explore the mountains around my home area by foot and easy climbing.

What is your main activity, and why do you love it?
Skiing and climbing. Because I feel I always can improve myself in these activities, and it also still gives me the thrills and good vibes the a good life should contain.

How old were you when you became passionate about this activity?
Around 10 years.

What advice would you give to others who want to excel in this activity like you?
To go for it, and never stop explore the activity. It will give you so much in return.

How would you describe Norrøna in your own words?
Strong, solid and long-lasting combined with a smart design.

How can you help take Norrøna another step forward in innovation and product development?
To make sure that the product is well tested, so that any weak links is sorted out before the products reach the markets.

What book has made the biggest impression on you – and why?
Until now: Yuval Noah Harari, Nexus. A book about communication, past, present and future.

What do you enjoy talking about with other people?
Philosophy, politics and about protecting nature.

What do you think about right before you fall asleep at night?
That I really looking forward to tomorrow, and whatever the day bring!

Who inspires you the most today?
People who make a difference - local and global.
