Xanthe Demas is a self-proclaimed lifelong "ski bum" who has turned a passion for the mountains into a masterclass in living well. Since joining the Norrøna family in 2021, she has become a voice for those who believe that the greatest accomplishment in life is simply building one that allows for maximum joy and peace.

What do you actively do to cut back on your carbon footprint?
From the little things like composting, eating vegetarian and buying hybrid cars to supporting brands that practice and preach green operations and provide high quality products for less consumption, to diving in head first in local and national policy and regulations. I always try to do my research and stay engaged in policies and regulations that make a real impact.

Career highlights/accomplishments
Being a lifelong ski bum. Had my time in the spotlight at a few Ski Comps, but in all seriousness my biggest life accomplishment is building a life in a place I love that allows me to do the things that bring me the most joy and peace.

Top of Palmyra Peak in Telluride, Colorado, USA.

What advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Try to keep up with the people around you that you look up to. Chase the fastest skiers and bikers, engage the thinkers.

What hobbies do you enjoy participating in?
Puzzling, Margarita Drinking, Reading, Apres-ing (yes, it's a verb)

What is/are your hidden talent(s)?
Playing Tetris.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
Reading minds... for many reasons, but most importantly so I could know which lines everyone was planning to ski on a powder morning and go the opposite way!
