What is your first memory of nature?
I’ve been in the mountains since I was very young, but fishing in a mountain lake with my mom was an unforgettable experience.
How would you describe the nature of the place where you grew up?
I’d say I grew up in Disneyland—Chamonix is perfect for every sport!
What activities did you enjoy during your childhood?
I played golf and competed in snowboarding.
What is your main activity, and why do you love it?
My main activity is mountain snowboarding. I love it because it’s not very well-known, but it makes us truly feel alive in the mountains.
What advice would you give to others who want to excel in this activity like you?
Never skip steps—progress gradually, because falling can be deadly.
Tell us about three major highlights in your life so far.
- The most recent highlight was climbing to 7,000 meters.
- Passing the entrance exam for mountain guide training was a huge milestone
- securing a podium finish in the French Championships in snowboard boardercross was another big achievement.
What adventures do you dream of undertaking in the future?
Climbing and descending an 8,000-meter peak.
How do you plan to make these dreams a reality?
By finding the money and the time.
How would you describe Norrøna in your own words?
Norrøna is a brand I’ve known since I was little. To me, it represents solid, durable clothing.
What tips and advice do you have for reducing our ecological footprint on the planet?
I try to minimize travel as much as possible, both around my home and for commuting to work.
Do you have a profession alongside your main activity?
If so, tell us about it! Yes, I don’t live off sponsorships alone, so I work in the mountain rescue in Chamonix.
