The GORE-TEX ePE (expanded polyethylene) membrane is a key milestone in the responsible performance journey, providing high-performing, durable products that are engineered for long product life.
The GORE‑TEX ePE membrane is light and thin, yet strong, and it's PFAS free (under 50ppm) with a reduced carbon footprint. To form new GORE‑TEX products, the membrane is combined with carefully selected textiles, including recycled ones.
Key features include a custom-fit waist system with brushed comfortable Polyester for moisture reduction, mesh-lined inner thigh ventilation with two-way zippers, extra ventilation zips on the thigh pockets, horizontal and slightly angled hand-warming pockets, a small gadget pocket, integrated snow gaiters, snap-button tightening around the ankles, and Vectran ripstop reinforcements at the bottom of the legs to protect against steel edges or other sharp objects.
We've optimized the waistline to prevent gaps in the front when attaching the pants to a bib or vest. By having the front zip slightly facing the side, we’ve created a small overlap that will provide a full seal. The new generation pants have a developed fit with enhanced freedom of movement when taking strides or high steps.
They are compatible with all our ski bibs and the snap-in powder skirt on our jackets.
