Where did you grow up?
I grew up in the countryside just outside Stavanger, namely Randaberg.

Where do you currently call home?
Klepp municipality. The reef of Jæren. 10m from one of Norway's best waves.

Activity
Surfing is my first priority. ALWAYS. Skateboarding and snowboarding when the ocean is flat.

What do you actively do to cut back on your carbon footprint?
I am lying when I say I never buy new clothes – but I very, very seldom do. I love to repair my clothes and totally wear them out. I am seen more often in a jacket with ducktape than in a brand new one. I make a lot of effort on multiple ways of reducing my carbon footprints. And through my businesses, I also contribute a lot to a healthier earth. I just invested in a new pickup car which uses half of the fuel that my last one did. I live very remotely – so an electrical car is atm not an option. But when they hit 1000km I am on it.

Career highlights/accomplishments
I won the Norwegian Surfing Championship in 2012, Norwegian Surf Cup 2018 Gold, Norwegian Surf Cup 2019 Silver, X2 XWave 2019 Gold, Lofoten Masters 2020 Copper.

I have been on the Norwegian National Surf Team for the past 4-5 years. I have represented Norway in about 5-6 European Championships and in Worlds Surfing Championship in 2019 in Japan – and had the pleasure to surf in the same heat as Italo Fereira who won.

Where is your favorite place in the world?
Home at Jæren. Nobody loves his home like the Jærdweller.

What advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Focus harder on the school and do better. Study harder so that opportunities become wider after school. Also, I would advise myself to spend much more time on my skateboard, surfing and snowboarding.

What hobbies do you enjoy participating in?
Is coffee a hobby? For me, it is a big part of life. I love coffee. All kinds of coffee. The best part is outdoors in the sun. Besides surfing, I spend a lot of time skateboarding. Especially in the surfing offseason (summertime in Norway – May to August). I spend a lot of time and I love to photograph and film, drawing, product design and product development and product realisation and just being creative as it gives me much and makes me whole.

What is/are your hidden talent(s)?
I am unbelievably good at cooking rice. Not sure if it is a talent. But it is no joke. I can also juggle with 5 balls.

I am also pretty good at «bicycling backwards». (Meaning I sit on the handlebar with my back facing cycling direction)… as a matter of fact, I did it over 4km many years ago.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and why?
I think looking into the future would be a sick superpower. We could prevent so much disaster. Like the pandemic we are facing.
